This past weekend we hit the one-year mark of our demonstration for the local road authorities in Warsaw (ZDM). In May 2010, we showed the CT-3000 small extrusion curb machine and highlighted the benefits of one of the two “pour-in-place” curbing methods; extrusion curbing.

This was by far one of our three most important demos for Curb-Tec Europe in six years of business and probably even one of the most important in 12 years for the whole Curb-Tec Group as can be seen by Curb-Tec, Inc. President and co-owner, Mr. Larry Dewey, coming to Poland to give us a lot of support. We appreciated it and would also like to thank Lafarge Concrete for the great mixture and tremendous support throughout the process. We certainly look forward to whenever we get the opportunity to work with Lafarge.

The demo was done with the intention of showing the speed and the cost-efficiency that extrusion curbing can bring to a project, monitor the curb for a year, and then evaluate afterwards. Periodic monitoring the past year has shown that the curb sustained extremely well and we are confident our techniques will be fully accepted in the very near future. Curb-Tec Europe co-owner, Chris Hutchinson, said, “The Curb-Tec machines are often used on private commercial projects in the U.S., like parking lot curb, and we`ve mainly used them here in Poland the past few years to do water barriers on highway projects, but getting our methods accepted by the capital’s road authorities is crucial to our long-term future on the Polish market.”
